Care B&B+, Inc. is a Mendocino County 501(c)(3) nonprofit closing a quiet but critical gap in rural healthcare: the days between hospital discharge and a safe return home.

To provide warm, dignified, post-hospital recovery space for Mendocino County residents who are medically cleared but not yet ready to be alone.

Our story
A small idea that kept coming back.
Care B&B+ began with a recurring conversation among local providers, social workers, and neighbors: patients who were ready to leave the hospital — but had nowhere safe to go. A few extra days of rest, in a quiet room with someone checking in, would change everything.
We organized as a nonprofit to make that simple idea real. Today, our board, volunteers, and partners across Mendocino County are building a model of recovery hospitality that is gentle, dignified, and affordable to the people who need it.
